Future Plans

A general idea about my future plans with this project.

My plan has been roughly the same since I decided to start this journey.

  1. Make a playable demo with most of the game's features displayed
  2. When I have a playable, relatively bug free demo, put it online and start gathering a fan base
  3. When I think I have enough people knowing the game, have a Kickstarter
  4. When I think the game has enough in it to be a sellable, put it in Early Access on Steam
  5. Of course, when the game is done, switch to full release

One big thing that will decide the future of the project is the Kickstarter.
I don't have funds to be able to just quit my current job to focus 100% on this, as for now.
So, the Kickstarter will decide, first of all,  how fast I'll be able to develop. If I get enough from it, I'll be able to quit my job and focus on this project 100%.
Also, with enough funds I could decide to hire someone to help me out. I'm currently LOVING doing this by myself, and I wouldn't mind going on like this. At the same time, there is a lot of quality and fancy stuff that I may not be able to include if I work on this myself.
To sum it up, the Kickstarter will decide how fast, and how pretty/content filled I can make the game.

I will continue developing even if the Kickstarter doesn't go well. I personally believe in the project, even at the current state the game is fun and doesn't look too bad, and it's only going to get better from here.

The first step is cleared.
The demo won't change much from the current state. I need to add more cards, a few more blessings, at least one boss and one normal enemy, maybe also one more mini boss.
With that I will just focus on polishing and heading for the Kickstarter.
Right now the most important thing is to have people try it :)
